Updating your ZoneAlarm® product is fast and easy. Just follow these steps and you'll be up and running in minutes with the latest version.
Do you have a valid subscription?
You must have a valid subscription to renew. To check the status of your subscription, open your ZoneAlarm product.
- Open your ZoneAlarm product interface
- Click Overview in the left column
- Click on the Product Info tab
- Look under the Support and Update Information section. You will be advised on how many days your subscription will be valid or if your subscription has expired.
If your ZoneAlarm subscription has expired, you'll need to renew your subscription before updating your product. Click here to renew.
Is there an updated version available?
There are two ways to find out if an updated version of your ZoneAlarm product is available.
Manual Updates
If your ZoneAlarm product is set to "Manually Check for Updates", you will need to open ZoneAlarm and click the "Check for Update" button.
- Open your ZoneAlarm product interface
- Go to Overview in the left-hand column
- Click on the Preferences tab
- Under "Check for Updates", click the "Check for Update" button.
Automatic Updates
If your ZoneAlarm product is set to "Automatically Check for Product Updates", you will receive the following pop-up alert when a new version of ZoneAlarm is available. If you select "Update Now", you can update your ZoneAlarm product immediately.
If you do not want to update your ZoneAlarm product when you receive the pop-up alert, you can choose to be reminded later:
- Select "Remind Me Later"
- Choose the number of days in which you would like to be reminded
- Click "OK"
How do I update my ZoneAlarm product?
When you choose "Update Now" and click "OK", you will be taken to a Web page that resembles the following:
This page will tell you what changes have been made to the latest version of your ZoneAlarm product. Click "Download Now!" to download the latest version and follow the instructions on the download page.
Instructions for Downloading:
Please choose an easy-to-remember location when you download the latest version of ZoneAlarm, such as your Desktop or My Documents folder.
The download should only take a few seconds on a broadband connection.
When the download finishes, find the file you just downloaded and double-click on it. The file name will resemble something like this: zaSuiteSetup_60_631_003.
Double clicking on the file will begin installation of the latest version of your ZoneAlarm product. Please follow the online set up instructions to complete the installation.
Important: In order to save your current firewall and other product settings, click on "Upgrade" when given the choice between "Upgrade" and "Clean Install".
Once the installation process is complete, the ZoneAlarm product will ask you to restart your computer for the new version to become active.
Update Now
Update your ZoneAlarm product now and stay ahead of the latest Internet threats. Select your product from the list below:
